- Demonstrated solid experience in working and administering Solaris, Linux and Windows OSes is an absolute must
- Good knowledge on “Enterprise Applications” is an absolute must
- Good problem management skills - specifically experience undertaking root cause analysis – is a must
- Experience in several of the following: shell scripts, web servers, databases, XML, Java scripts, HTML, process troubleshooting (strace, truss), etc.
- Good general understanding of networks (TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, etc)
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Good skills on Incident Management procedures.
- Positive attitude. This position requires a hands-on approach to solving issues.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in supporting Enterprise products.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Description:
The position will provide all Tier II support for all enterprise clients in this Kanata - based company. The candidate will perform problem identification, analysis and troubleshooting. The individual will research, collect, document, and reproduce (in-house) complex customer issues in order to diagnose and find solutions and fixes to complex solutions. The individual is responsible for communicating with external clients and to manage escalated incidents to the Engineering Department.
