The Role
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with experience
developing Linux software with an emphasis on telecommunications,
specifically ethernet routing/switching.
Our client is a manufacturer of communications equipment for harsh
environments. They are a rapidly growing company that promotes an
exciting and dynamic work environment with significant opportunity for
personal growth.
This role provides an opportunity to experience the complete life
cycle of product development including specifications, design, coding,
test, production and maintenance. You will be part of a small team and
play an integral role in bringing advanced telecommunications products
to market.
Education and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science/
Engineering, at least five years developing Linux software and/or
administering *nix based systems, and a deep understanding of the
networking aspects of the Linux kernel.
Candidates must have experience in many of the following categories:
· Linux kernel, device drivers, and networking applications
· Debian Linux distribution
· Script programming in Bash and Perl
· Programming C/C++ for embedded systems
· Real time operating systems
· Ethernet communications and switching
· TCP/IP and related Layer 3 protocols
· Network security: SSH/SSL, IPSec, VPN, etc.
