Carlington Community and Health Services (CCHS) is a community health centre located in the near west end of Ottawa providing health and social services within a health promotion framework to a community with diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
A member of the Corporate Services team, and reporting to the Executive Director, the Data Management Coordinator (DMC) provides data support and data management functions, including report generation of health indicators for clients of the CHC. The DMC leads ongoing collaborative processes to assist management with data analysis to support management decisions, evaluate programs and services, and inform future planning. This is a part-time positions (0.6 FTE, 21 hours per week).
Qualifications:
Post secondary degree in a technology field with an emphasis on data analysis and statistics. Certificate or diploma in databases, or equivalent work and/or experience. Three or more years relevant experience, preferably in a health care setting. Two to three years experience providing advice to management on data analysis, conducting resulting analysis, and providing written reports and recommendations utilizing the findings. Experience generating statistics and statistical reports using statistical packages. Experience as a computer trainer in both group and individual settings, including assessment of training needs, development of appropriate training plans for staff with a wide range of skill levels, and delivery of training as required. Experience in data quality management. Knowledge of and experience with issues regarding privacy and confidentiality of both paper and electronic medical records. Proficiency in the use of computers and various database programs including Access/SQL. Knowledge of York-Med/Purkinje medical software and electronic health records an asset. Experience providing documentation for information systems. Experience working effectively as a team player in a multi-disciplinary environment. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and time management skills. Experience working in a non-profit organization an asset. English is required, bilingualism an asset.
